A Healthier You Starting Now

No matter how old you are, you should strive to make now—today—the priority. I say that because most of us are surrounded by people in with older and younger generations, including our Boomer friends and family. We must keep our vitality alive and well; chiropractic is a major component in this process.

Chiropractors help your body reach its highest function by getting your nervous system to work the best it can. What makes us who we are is the brain. As information travels from the brain to the spinal cord and the nerves that connect to every part of our body, it causes us to respond in different ways, be it feelings of touch or pain or making our organs work without us thinking about it.

We are biomechanical beings made up of bones (our structure), muscles and /soft tissue that hold us together, and nerves that provide the electricity that keeps our body and running, much like the electrical system of your home or car. Keeping the body in alignment allows you to reach or surpass your potential, allowing you to work hard, play hard, and think your best.

The chiropractic adjustment, a specific force placed into the spine or any joint to free any misalignments and possible nerve impingements, keeps your electrical system working its best and allows you to focus on the rest of your life. A balanced life of what is important and what we want to achieve is different for each individual; however, we all have the desire and need to keep our health and vitality to perform at our best.

To do this takes a multipronged approach. In our life, we need a well-functioning body that is made up of a well-functioning nervous system. We also need to provide our body with sufficient fuel (ie, unprocessed food and other healthy nutrients). of Strength and flexibility from weight training, stretching, and mental balance are also important characteristics of a well-functioning body. There are many ways to accomplish our goals, and in future articles I will discuss options on how to achieve these different components. It is up to you to decide where these components the fit into your own in body and soul. There is no one best way to achieve your goals, but start (or continue) what you are doing because you will not know how well you like something until you try and practice it. Anything you do, put in your all. Please contact me with comments, questions, and interests.
